An independent study being conducted in the Mariana Islands has found evidence of a link between betel nut and tobacco chewing, and cancer. . . .

The study is being funded by the Seventh-Day Adventist Clinic in Saipan and Guam, and is the first of its kind. Lori DeMaine, a registered dental hygienist at the clinic, says 100 high school students have been screened for the study.
