Council rejects Conwell Park smoking ban

Intro:

Conwell Park will remain a haven for smokers banned from the Wyoming Medical Center's campus. Of the seven council members present at the Casper City Council meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 2, only council woman Kim Holloway supported an ordinance that would have made the city park and the abutting sidewalks smoke-free.

The ban had been requested by WMC as a way to address a significant increase in the number of individuals who cross Second Street to smoke in the park.
